This Demco 05561 reverse lockout solenoid is a high-quality electric bypass valve designed for use with trailer surge brake actuators. It prevents hydraulic pressure from reaching the brakes when the tow vehicle is in reverse.

A reliable replacement option for many discontinued or hard-to-find solenoids, including the Dexter/UFP 054-101-00.

⚠️ Fitment Note:

• Works with most surge couplers that use bypass-style reverse lockout valves

• Direct port-size match for the obsolete Dexter/UFP 054-101-00

• Fittings are not included — must be reused from your old unit or replaced

• Use with a 12V reverse wire from your tow vehicle

• 🔌 Wiring Note: This is a two-wire solenoid and will replace older single-wire solenoids. Simply connect one wire to the reverse circuit, and ground the other — either wire can be used for either purpose.
